About Me
 
Who am I? I am the person behind the name, Iris Otto. I was born in 1988 in Utrecht, The Netherlands, and I grew up in Nijkerkerveen, where my parents live. I went to high school in the nice historical town of Amersfoort, and I am currently living in Utrecht, where I have studied Liberal Arts & Sciences at University College Utrecht. I am planning on doing SUMMA (Selective Utrecht Medical Master) and becoming a medical doctor. I like to develop on various levels, and I have a broad interest, ranging from medicine, physiotherapy and psychology to sports, journalism and traveling. I enjoy experiencing cultures, eating good food, and having drinks with friends or family. I like writing, going to concerts and festivals, and photography. I really appreciate the small things in life that can make you happy: a walk in the park with a friend, my horse giving me a ‘kiss’, the feeling after accomplishing a goal, going out to dinner with my parents, snowboarding down a mountain, a sunny day, a message from an old friend, feeling the wind through your hair when sailing... I love my family and friends, my horses, traveling, writing, snowboarding, surfing, diving, taking photos... I love cities, beaches, rainforests, mountains, animals... I feel that I am really enjoying life, and I want to continue doing that for as long as I live. Therefore, I want to work in a sector that fascinates me: medicine. I have many dreams and aspirations, and I hope that through studying, hard work, and a bit of luck I can make most of my dreams come true. I live to enjoy life!
